1960 Everly Brothers begin first ever UK tour in London

1969 Billy Preston signs with Apple

1969 Jim Morrison turns himself over to the FBI in Los Angeles. Charged with inter-state flight to avoid prosection on six charges of lewd behavior and public exposure at a concert in Miami on 2 March 1969, he is later released on $2000 bail.

1970 Brinsley Schwartz launched by a $120,000 hype that involves flying a planeful of London journalists to the New York Fillmore East for one performance, then back again. The management company, Flamepushers, later folded with huge debts.

1973 Beatles ’62-’66 and Beatles ’67-’70 released in UK

1976 Britain wins Eurovision Song Contest with Save All Your Kisses for Me by Brotherhood of Man.
